If you don’t know, Akon has a new group called Rock City. They are frustrated with lack of radio play. Akon tells them the same thing that I tell artits in this area…Don’t just focus on radio. There are other avenues to promote yourself. Akon’s first single that was pushed got very little radio play, now look how big he is. And no, I’m not talking about Locked Up. That was NOT his first single. I remember the days of Akon calling people’s phones and leaving drops when he was coming up. I’m so mad I deleted that drop off my phone cuz I had no clue who dude was. lol Anyway, peep the video and learn:

Aye, that why I do my thang elsewhere. There are more other way of getting on then to be on your local radio station. Everybody want to pull that Wale's move but you gotta do something different that'll get you on.
