Hear from local youth as they create their own message to our new president. “Letters to the President” will be a focus of the dynamic, joyful, soulful afternoon. Join in and write your own message to the president.
In this, the 79th anniversary of Dr. King’s birth, join us at the site of his last Sunday sermon, led by multi-media artist and educator Bomani Armah

As a special feature of this event, we will be giving youth the opporunity to write letters to the President Elect Barack Obama the same way Martin Luther King to John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. All the letters will be collected and presented with a special video message from the Washington National Cathedral Scholars to Barack Obama!
