A little background info:
The Washington, DC music market will never be the same after R&B Live DC makes it grand opening. On Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Posh Supper Lounge, R&B Live DC will showcase the talent of Grammy nominated Marsha Ambrosius (of Floetry) and with the opening act being DC’s own Tamika Jones and a female live band BLUSH. DJ Huck Fin will be providing the tunes and UK’s own “Queen of Posh” Michelle Harris will be hosting. The show will begin at 8pm. For table reservations, please contact 202.393.0975.

R&B Live was started in New York and then made its way to other major markets, such as Los Angeles, Atlanta and Miami. R&B Live has served as a platform for R&B artist to be seen and heard and has the reputation of bringing out the power players and tastemakers. R&B Live DC will no different. Washington, DC is ranked in the top ten for the largest market for recorded music in the nation and is the fourth nationally in the number of live shows offered per city. It will be a monthly event that will bring talent to the Washington, DC area in an intimate setting, but will also showcase local talent as well. There has always been a demand to entice the music industry to put their focus on the city and R&B Live DC is sure to bridge the gap.
